Colds

CHICKEN SOUP
Always a favorite cold rememdy, chicken soup is one of the first things to go for when you have a cold. Be sure to use plenty of veggies for the best results.

GARLIC

Add fresh garlic to as much food as possible that you will be eating. Garlic works even better if you start taking it at the moment you feel cold symptoms coming on.

HOT TOMATO JUICE
Combine 8 ounces of tomatoe juice with, juice of one or two cloves of garlic, juice of half a lemon and about 1/16 teaspoon of cayenne pepper.

HOT TEA
This can vary depending on your pallette. Any hot tea should do the trick to promote mucus flow and unclog your stuffy nose.

GINGER
Cut thin slices of ginger root into hot water and steep for about 10 minutes. Or use ginger powder to make a tea by pouring boiling water over a teaspoon of the powder or so in a cup.
